DaIRC is willing to provide custom bot names for channels that meet the following criteria:
1): You must have at least ten users within your channel upon the time of the bot name request. 2): Your channel must be registered for at least one week.
If you would like to request a custom bot name, and you meet our criteria, you may join #support and discuss your request with a network representative.
To request a hostmask your nickname must be registered first. Then simply do the following command:
/hs request something.really.funny
Remember to replace something.really.funny with whatever vHost you like.
All users must abide by the following vHost rules:
• Your nickname must be registered at least 7 days before requesting
• One vHost per week
• Your vHost cannot resolve.
• No IPs (including 127.0.0.1)
• No racism, curse words, or anything that may offend a certain user or group.
• No TLDs (.gov, .net, .com etc)
• Abuse will result in revoked vHost privileges and/or nickname suspension.
Please note: We maintain a "bad words" list that stops certain words from being used such as admin, GM, and offensive words. If you're in need of such a vHost, please /join #support and speak to a staff member. Please keep in mind vHost acceptance is at the sole discretion of the dairc team. If, for example, your request is in another language we cannot understand, we reserve the right to reject it. If you believe your vHost is legitimate and you were directed to this page, please make sure it does not resolve! Also, be aware that vhost access is a privilege on our network which can be revoked at anytime.
